Providing strong, capable leadership is the greatest challenge facing inner-city Catholic schools today. To meet this need, Curran Catholic School Principal Academy was established in 2008 to form school leaders for PreK-8 Catholic schools. Over time, some program graduates chose leadership paths distinct from that of a building principal. As a result, the Principal Academy was renamed the Curran Catholic School Leadership Academy.
Today, there have been more than 65 Fellows that have served/are serving in Catholic School leadership positions in the Archdiocese of New York alone. Others are serving the Church as Catholic school leaders in the Archdiocese of Newark, Diocese of Brooklyn and Diocese of Rockville Centre.
